## OPEN POSITION(S) - HVAC Installation Technician
#### Experienced HVAC Installers, Carpenters & Trainees Welcome!
Looking for a rewarding career in a growing industry? Already have HVAC installation or carpentry experience? We want to hear from you!
Island Ductless Heat Pumps is growing, and we're looking for motivated individuals
to join our HVAC installation team!
Whether you're an experienced HVAC technician, a skilled carpenter, or someone with construction or mechanical experience who's interested in learning a new trade, we'd love to hear from you.
HVAC or heat pump installation experience is a plus, but not required. We especially welcome candidates with carpentry or residential construction experience. We provide hands-on, on-the-job training with our experienced installation team to help you develop the skills needed to become a skilled heat pump installation technician.
What You'll Do
\- Install ducted and ductless heat pump heating and air conditioning systems to company standards.
\- Work alongside experienced technicians to learn proper installation techniques, equipment setup, and system operation.
\- Assist with the installation of residential ductwork, refrigerant lines, condensate drainage, and other system components.
\- Work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality installations.
\- Help provide an exceptional customer experience on every jobsite.
\- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
What You Bring
\- Carpentry, residential construction, HVAC, or related mechanical experience is highly desirable, but not required.
\- Experience in HVAC installation, construction, or related mechanical trades is a plus, but not required.
\- Mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn.
\- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
\- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work outdoors year-round.
\- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
\- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
\- Ability to work well with customers, coworkers, subcontractors, and builders.
\- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
\- Willingness to participate in training, seminars, and classes.
\- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets and apps for field documentation.
Experience We'd Especially Welcome
\- Carpentry or residential construction experience.
\- HVAC installation or service experience.
\- Residential ductwork fabrication and installation.
\- Electrical or mechanical trades experience.
\- Previous heat pump installation experience.
Don't have heat pump experience? That's okay!
We'll provide the training you need to learn our systems and installation practices.
Pay & Benefits
\- Starting pay: $22.50 per hour or more, depending on experience.
\- Experienced HVAC installers may qualify for a higher starting wage based on their skills and experience.
\- Benefits package included; details will be discussed during the interview.
