Founder and owner David Gray started IDHP in 2011 to give back to the community and keep Whidbey Island beautiful. Since then, we’ve installed over 3,500 ductless systems! Why does this matter? Traditional HVAC systems that use fossil fuels are expensive and harmful to our environment. Our vision is to lower our community’s carbon footprint and make their homes more comfortable with a company that does the right thing for our customers and employees every time.

History

David Gray first became intrigued with ductless heat pump technology in 2010. David already held a degree in physics but wanted to expand his knowledge and quickly completed every HVAC course available at a local college and earned his HVAC Technician Certificate. While completing all available Mitsubishi courses, David started Island Ductless Heat Pump to share energy efficiency with his Whidbey Island community.

Community

David and his family love giving back to the Whidbey and Fidalgo Island communities − making homes and local businesses more comfortable and eco-friendly. Since the beginning, Island Ductless Heat Pumps has supported non-profit programs, local businesses, and community initiatives. Our staff are local islanders passionate about knowing their neighbors, caring for others, and seeing our customers be happy and successful.

It is rewarding to provide great careers to our employees, as well as help our friends and neighbors discover their most comfortable home while saving significantly on their utility bill.
